Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities in the Barrys Bay area.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
  • Ensure resident transfers and discharges are timely and safe.
  • Ensure the supply, control, and safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, and follow protocols on all assigned shifts.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the needs of residents.
Requirements:
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid & CPR.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shift times, including eight or twelve hours in length.
  • Ability to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital, depending on facility need.
  • Reliability to be placed at an agreed-upon facility/unit.
  • Compliance with the RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
