Courier Service Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Service Driver to join our team at Canada Courier System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport packages, messages, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately keep records of items received and delivered, including vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any issues encountered.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building strong relationships.
Requirements:
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience is essential, with a focus on safe and efficient driving practices.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and a high level of productivity.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages, as well as work in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in the field of employment is an asset, with a focus on customer service and transportation.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work is essential, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
