Courier Service Driver Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Courier Service Driver to join our team at Canada Courier System.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and Pick Up: Safely transport messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately keep a record of items received and delivered, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently, minimizing damage and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience is required, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, maintaining attention to detail and a high level of productivity.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be available for shift or on-call work, with a strong commitment to customer service and a safe driving record.
