Job Title: Assistant Construction Manager

Ville de Témiscaming is seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating subcontractors' activities, evaluating daily operations, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate subcontractors' activities to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet project deadlines
  • Select trade subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Read blueprint, schemas, and drawings to ensure accuracy
  • Plan and manage budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop risk management plans to mitigate potential risks
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information to inform decision-making
  • Prepare reports to stakeholders on project progress
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction management
  • Professional Engineer Certification (P. Eng.)
  • MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word skills
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
