Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our team at Penske Logistics Canada Ltd. in Cambridge, Ontario. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a small group of hourly associates in a warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with safety and logistics procedures, and driving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely and damage-free storage and delivery of customer products.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Manage and control working hours and activities to minimize overtime and meet productivity targets.
  • Lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness among associates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and resolve operational issues.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

The associate will be required to stand, walk, and sit frequently. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
