Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join our team at Penske Logistics Canada Ltd. in Cambridge, Ontario. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a small group of hourly associates in a warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with safety and logistics procedures, and driving customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • People: Communicate daily work assignments to associates, interview and recommend new hires, and ensure fair treatment of all employees.
  • Operations: Evaluate and recommend process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction, manage deadline pressures, and ensure timely and damage-free product storage and delivery.
  • Finance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability, and manage associates' working hours and activities to minimize overtime.
  • Safety: Understand and apply the location's safety strategy, continuously monitor and reinforce safety awareness, and lead shift safety meetings.
  • Growth/Customer Experience: Present a positive attitude to customers, understand location-specific customer goals, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Fleet/Assets: Ensure equipment is in proper working order, complete maintenance documentation, and secure vehicles when not in service.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience required
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use CRT, PC, scanners, calculators, and related equipment
  • SAP knowledge required; MRP and JIT knowledge preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Regular, predictable attendance and willingness to travel as necessary
