Production Scheduling and Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Labour Scheduler and Operations Support provides day-to-day administration of payroll processing functions and manages weekly production labour schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance. This role reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with HR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing weekly labour schedules for the production department in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
  • Posting and allocating overtime on a weekly basis and/or as required
  • Collaborating with the production planner to provide labour forecasts based on changing volume demands
  • Managing production schedules in Kronos
  • Overseeing the production skills matrix and employee cross-training
  • Working with HR on future recruitment needs
  • Managing production supplies inventory and ordering

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required and minimum 3 years of related experience in scheduling in a factory
  • Experience using Kronos and/or Ultimate Kronos Group Software is preferred
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
