Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Stocker to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Stocker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized meat department, ensuring that all products are properly stocked and rotated, and providing excellent customer service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure efficient product placement and customer flow.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
  • Ensuring that all merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance to customers.
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to prepare chicken and other products.
  • Following health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a retail or food service environment an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
