Deli Sales Associate

Job Summary:
The Deli Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. As a Deli Clerk, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of tasks, including processing customer deli orders, handling and preparing deli products, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to meet customer needs
- Process customer deli orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle and prepare deli products, including meats, cheeses, and other specialty items
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all Food Safety Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures
- Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the deli department
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
