**Position Overview**

Montana’s recognizes that our kitchen staff are an integral part of our team. Reporting

to the Kitchen Manager, a Line Cook would be preparing and assembling all of our

signature dishes in our busy restaurants for dine-in, take-out, and delivery orders.

Assigned to specific stations, Line Cooks work together to ensure guests are satisfied

would be a team player who can communicate clearly while working in a fast-paced

environment with great attention to detail.

**What Are We Looking For?**
- Open and flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Works with a sense of urgency with an ability to multitask
- Comfortable with handling a knife, using food preparation equipment, and

working around hea
- Experience working in a restaurant kitchen, catering kitchen, or a food service

chain
- Excellent team player that has clear verbal communication skills
- Has Food Safety certification or willing to get one within 3 months

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provides customer satisfaction by cooking to perfection and assembling dishes

to be visually appealing
- Prepares ingredients for use such as, dicing produce, marinating meats, etc.
- Ensures a smooth service by avoiding prep shortages by completing the AM

and/or PM checklists
- Tracks and records temperatures of all hot foods, cold and hot holding areas
- Cleans and sanitises all dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, etc. in a timely

manner
- Empties out garage, compost and recycling bins, breaking down boxes
- Runs the line or expedites during peak times and as necessary
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station at all times
- Emphasises safety and sanitation when working with others and equipment
- Keeps storage areas and walk-in fridges clean and organised
- Attends pre-shift meetings and is prepared to participate by actively listening and

working towards harmonious restaurant workflow
- Brainstorms strategies to improve consistency, reduce waste, increase morale

and eliminate inefficiency
- Contributes to a safe and warm environment by accepting and respecting all

individuals who enter the restaurant
