Environmental Scientist Job Description

Associated Engineering is a leader in providing innovative infrastructure solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are offering a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage contaminated sites and conduct risk assessments for municipal infrastructure and linear projects.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication skills.
  • Promote professional registration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant pure or applied science; graduate degree (M.Sc.) preferred.
  • 12+ years' post-graduation experience in environmental consulting.
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills.
  • Professional registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's licence.
