We are seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist/Technologist to join our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team in Edmonton, Alberta.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for participating in a broad range of projects with responsibilities including:

  • Maintaining Matrix's strong safety culture
  • Completing pre-field planning for projects
  • Reviewing field data and providing initial interpretations
  • Working with senior technical accountables to deliver high-quality products
  • Learning from and assisting senior technical accountables in method development
  • Managing project-related timelines and budgets
  • Preparing technical correspondence, proposals, and reports

About You

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 3-5 years of direct field and/or project management experience in assessment, remediation, and monitoring
  • A degree or technical diploma in environmental science, geology, agriculture, hydrogeology, or engineering
  • Eligibility for registration in, or maintaining a good standing in, a professional organization
  • Strong written communication skills and previous experience writing technical reports
  • A valid and clean driver's license with no restrictions
