IFRS 9 Loan Loss Model Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an IFRS 9 Analyst to join the Central 1 team. In this role, you will provide essential functional support to credit unions as they implement and use Central 1's IFRS 9 loan loss model. You will be the go-to resource for credit unions, addressing inquiries about the IFRS 9 National Reporting & Analytics Platform and resolving routine issues to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries and issues via phone and email within designated timeframes
  • Act as second-level support to assist Senior Analysts with issues escalated by other support staff
  • Collect sufficient information from clients for initial diagnosis, analyze, and resolve issues or escalate as needed
  • Collaborate with key support departments on technical and operational matters
  • Update operations manuals and procedures as necessary
  • Address customer questions on simpler model functionality; escalate complex model design or auditor queries to the Product Manager
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of product offerings, application functionality, and model design; identify results that don't align with model expectations when diagnosing issues
  • Assist IFRS 9 team members during QA and production releases by completing user acceptance testing
  • Perform additional duties as needed to ensure exceptional service and support Central 1's business goals

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant customer service experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field with an accounting focus (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of IFRS 9 impairment accounting is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Problem-solving skills: ability to gather information, diagnose issues, and provide effective solutions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with clients, technical teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment

Salary: $66,600

The salary represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
