Huawei Canada has an opening for a Distributed Storage Specialist to join our Distributed Data Storage and Management Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing the next-generation data and AI system.
About the role:
- Design and develop scalable key-value store solutions.
- Analyze user scenarios to create optimized software system solutions.
- Develop in-depth understanding of competitive landscape for data processing and serverless infrastructure in cloud.
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies, research industry trends, and present findings to the team.
- Pursue innovative ideas and new patent applications.
About the ideal candidate:
- Proven experience leading teams and products to achieve business impact and customer success stories.
- Able to mentor team members on design/technical skills including data structures, concurrency, performance optimizations, etc.
- 10+ years experience in implementing one or more of the following: AI end-to-end data processing, scenario and system optimizations, core database internals, large-scale data processing, scalable key-value store, and serverless platform infrastructures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Telecommunications; MS or PhD is an asset.
