Job Summary

Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited is seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Specialist to join our team. As an HSEQ Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health, safety, and environmental management, with experience in conducting job safety analyses, developing and implementing safety plans, and providing training and coaching to employees.

The HSEQ Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on project-level compliance with the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) and the Safety Plan, as well as providing leadership on health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSE) requirements for the project.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence people and achieve results in a matrix reporting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job safety analyses and develop safety plans to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Monitor and report on project-level compliance with the MRP and the Safety Plan.
  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide support to the operations team in the development and implementation of HSE plans.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Associate degree or college diploma in a safety-related field.
  • Valid driver's license with an exemplary driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
