HSEQ Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Specialist to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, clients, and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies and programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and assess HSEQ performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to develop and implement HSEQ training programs, ensuring employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Develop and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Provide HSEQ guidance and support to employees, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and staying up-to-date on changes to regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure HSEQ compliance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement HSEQ metrics and reporting, ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- 2+ years of experience in HSEQ leadership or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations and standards, including OSHA, CSA, and ISO 14001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
- Work in a variety of environments, including office, field, and construction sites.
- May be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, or in other hazardous environments.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds and walk at least one mile in rugged terrain.
