Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HSEQ Specialist to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As an HSEQ Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards are met across our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Monitoring: Assist the leadership team in monitoring project-level compliance with the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP) and the Safety Plan.
  • HSE Leadership: Provide leadership on HSE requirements for the Project, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of and adhere to HSE standards.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all project activities comply with federal, provincial, local, and company regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all personnel are aware of and understand HSE procedures and protocols.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and contributing factors, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including HSE metrics and performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or college diploma in a safety-related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in infrastructure or maintenance industry, with a focus on HSE leadership.
  • Credentials: Possess or be working towards a professional HSE credential, such as ASP, CSP, CRSP, or OHST.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to project sites.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Ability: Ability to walk at least one mile in rugged terrain, and lift 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in hot and cold environments, with frequent exposure to noise and other hazards.
