- Hire and Train Staff: Hire and train new staff members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Authorize Payments: Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Order Merchandise: Order merchandise, ensuring that all stock levels are maintained and that products are delivered on time.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules, ensuring that all staff members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Sell Merchandise: Sell merchandise, ensuring that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize Inventory: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that all stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor who has a strong background in retail operations and management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Work Setting: Retail business
- Tasks: Assign sales workers to duties, hire and train staff, authorize payments, order merchandise, establish work schedules, sell merchandise, prepare reports, resolve issues, organize inventory, supervise staff
- Supervision: 1 to 2 people
- Cashiers: Cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, organized, team player

- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
