Facilities Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Engineer to join our Operations Engineering Group at Plains Midstream Canada ULC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support, delivering maintenance projects, and optimizing/troubleshooting activities at various facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to Operations and Maintenance teams to ensure efficient and safe facility operations.
- Develop and recommend project scopes to improve facility performance and efficiency.
- Lead or assist projects related to plant piping, rotating equipment, storage, pipelines, and rail/truck loading.
- Perform economic analysis of projects and participate in Process Safety related evaluations/analysis.
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering is preferred and Registered Professional Engineer (APEGA) is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
This position can be based at the Plains Fort Saskatchewan facility or Buck Creek plant (Drayton Valley) but will require 1-2 days per week of travel to other field office locations using a company vehicle.
Please note that this position requires a strong understanding of facility operations and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
