About the Role

The Data Governance Lead will play a critical role in supporting Green Shield Canada's transformation journey to become Canada's leading health services provider and insurer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accurate and secure collection, storage, and use of data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data governance strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data governance directives are met
  • Lead the introduction of data governance technologies, tools, and processes
  • Provide data governance training and education to data owners, stewards, and consumers
  • Manage and mentor data advocates and foster a data-driven culture

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a relevant discipline with a technology background
  • 5+ years of experience in data and 3+ years in a governance function
  • Deep understanding of data governance practices, policies, and standards
  • Experience with modern data governance tools and technologies
