Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Description

Island Burgers Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage staff performance, providing coaching and feedback to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Set and manage staff work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing labor costs.
  • Supervise and train staff on all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and cash handling.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, promoting our brand and driving sales growth.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with some college or specialized training in hospitality or a related field preferred.
