We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Safety Specialist to join our team as the Deputy Fire Marshal. This is a critical role that requires a subject matter expert in fire safety, prevention, investigation, and enforcement.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on fire safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct thorough fire and life safety inspections to ensure compliance with minimum fire and life safety measures.
- Investigate fires, particularly those involving fatalities or injuries, to determine the cause, origin, and circumstances.
- Develop and deliver fire and life safety training and educational materials to enhance awareness and preparedness.
- Must be a Certified Fire Inspector with at least eight (8) years of work-related experience in fire, enforcement, building investigations/inspections, and fire prevention.
- Strong knowledge of the Fire Safety Act, Regulations, Codes, and Standards related to fire and life safety.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Diplomacy and sound judgment in assessing existing conditions and making recommendations for fire protection principles.
- A government vehicle for travel.
