Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Claim Representative to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation. This role involves managing complex and commercial auto claims, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring prompt and fair resolution of claims.

About the Role

  • Provide timely and accurate claims service to customers, internal and external.
  • Manage complex and/or commercial auto claims, including interpretation and application of policy wordings.
  • Collaborate with fraud investigators when necessary and work with customers, brokers, and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve claims.
  • Maintain detailed file records and process claims payments within your authority level.
  • Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned claims and achieve the targeted number of assigned claims per year.
  • Achieve and maintain a file disposition rate of 100% on a monthly basis.

What We're Looking For

  • You have a professional, friendly, and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers or coworkers.
  • Preferably, you hold a University degree in any discipline or a college diploma or the CIP designation.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience handling automobile physical damage claims of moderately complex to complex in nature.
  • Advanced knowledge of claims processes and procedures, including experience in both tort and DCPD provinces.
  • You excel under change and are comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • A high proficiency with Windows-based programs and excellent keyboarding skills.
  • You value collegiality and accomplishing goals together, are an excellent communicator (written and verbal), and an even better listener.
  • An active license in the provinces of New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island (or the ability to obtain) is an asset, as is bilingualism (French & English).

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $50,200 - $92,500, offering a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience.
