About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned hotel professional to take on a leadership position in a 5-star deluxe property in Nova Scotia. As the Director of Hotel Operations, you will oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring that high service standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities

  • Led the Front Office, Guest Services, Concierge, Security, and Housekeeping teams to achieve total guest satisfaction, meeting financial and operational targets.
  • Spearheaded departmental strategies and action plans in alignment with the hotel's strategic and sales objectives.
  • Maintained a strong understanding of financial management to ensure departmental financial objectives were met.
  • Cultivated a genuine 5-star quality service culture that exceeded guest expectations.
  • Provided learning and development opportunities for all colleagues to enhance their skills and support their growth.
  • Collaborated effectively with a team and demonstrated a proven track record of strong managerial and computer skills.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Business degree.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in Rooms Division, as an Executive Assistant Manager, or as a Director of Operations.
  • A genuine passion for and appreciation of working in a leading 5-star property.
