Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pulp Process Operator to join our team at Paper Excellence. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining main mill equipment, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in our pulp production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain main mill equipment, including continuous monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Operate and monitor clamp trucks to ensure safe and efficient transportation of pulp
  • Maintain accurate records of pulp production, storage, and bill of lading for trucks
  • Perform lockouts and ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • Conduct pulp testing to ensure quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to meet or exceed specifications
  • Develop and maintain strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers
  • Assist in the creation of manuals and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
  • Provide training and guidance to junior employees to ensure their development and growth
  • Assist with plant shutdowns and start-ups as required

Requirements

  • Industrial or equipment experience is considered an asset
  • Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures
  • Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching, or bending for longer periods
