About the Opportunity

This permanent full-time position is part of an interdisciplinary team that includes social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, and clinical therapists.

The successful candidate will provide assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy, supervision, and consultation via virtual technologies to adults. They will work collaboratively with family physicians and other service providers and community agencies in providing care.

A key aspect of this role is delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions, including cognitive and behavioral therapies for a range of disorders, such as mood, anxiety, substance use, and trauma-related disorders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Recognized PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology from a CPA-accredited university program or equivalent
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered/licensed with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience providing evidence-based interventions for mental health and addictions in adult populations
  • Training and experience in the provision of cognitive and behavioral interventions for a range of mental health disorders
  • Formal training and clinical experience in conducting semi-structured psycho-diagnostic assessment and case conceptualization
  • Experience with clinical supervision and willingness to incorporate responsibilities into work routine
  • Self-directed practice with ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Benefits

The salary for this position is $59.60-$62.74 per hour, depending on registration status.

Successful candidates may be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

In addition, they may be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined return of service contract.
