We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, BC. As a Registered Nurse, Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in an acute medical unit or within an outpatient intravenous (IV) setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) insertions to establish and/or maintain intravenous therapy.
- Assess patients receiving IV therapy and collect information from various sources to make informed nursing decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Provide education and support to patients and families/care givers on illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance.
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Advanced proficiencies in peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) insertions.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes as required.
