Restaurant Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Subway Sandwiches. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, including inventory reports and sales data.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the food service industry.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
