About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual who is passionate about working with children. As an Early Childhood Education Professional, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Responsibilities

  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans tailored to their needs.
  • Assist colleagues with household duties and provide support in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that foster children's growth and well-being.
  • Maintain daycare equipment and ensure it is safe for use.
  • Engage children in storytelling, singing, and other activities that promote creativity and imagination.
  • Support early childhood educators in monitoring children's progress and reporting any concerns to parents or guardians.
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various art forms, music, and physical activities.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for meals and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any challenges or concerns.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure the best possible care for children.
  • Create a safe and healthy environment by planning and organizing activities that promote children's well-being.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours.

Credentials

We require a Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification or equivalent experience.
