Job Summary

The Camp Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing Cairn's programs. This includes developing and executing marketing and communications strategies, managing operations within approved budget and fiscal policies, and supporting fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee day-to-day programs and services for all Cairn's programs.
  • Ensure that programs are focused around and represent Cairn's mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and provide training to seasonal staff.
  • Ensure compliance to all Ontario Camps Association (OCA) standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a coordinator or manager position at a camp, or equivalent experience in personnel leadership.
  • Personal skills: problem-solving ability, professionalism, leadership, empathy, conflict resolution, organization, adaptability, growth mindset, collaboration.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR-C or equivalent.
  • Clear Police Reference Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Work Environment

The Camp Director will work in a fast-paced environment, overseeing staff training and development, program delivery, camper wellbeing, and internal and external communications. The position includes room and board (May to September).
