Salary and Benefits


The compensation package for the Program Development Director includes an estimated annual salary of $40,000, plus benefits and a private accommodation during peak operating season.



Job Description


We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee program development and management at our summer camp. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a coordinator or manager position at a camp, or equivalent experience in personnel leadership.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Promote and uphold the organization's mission statement, values, faith statement, and strategic direction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies to promote programs and engage stakeholders.
  • Manage operations within approved budget and fiscal policies, assisting in budget preparation and management.
  • Support fundraising activities as assigned by the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee.


Staff Development and Management



  • Ensure ongoing wellness, morale, and development of all staff.
  • Facilitate recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision with support from the Executive Director.
  • Cochain, mentor, and evaluate staff in conjunction with seasonal supervision team and the Executive Director.


Program Development and Management



  • Plan and oversee day-to-day programs and services for all camp programs.
  • Ensure programs are focused around and represent the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Develop and provide training to seasonal staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and laws.


Faith Formation



  • Provide faith formation leadership to camp staff.
  • Establish a faith curriculum for campers with support from Faith Formation Board Member.
  • Recruit and provide leadership to Chaplains attending weekly camp programs.
