Transformative Leadership Opportunity

We're seeking a visionary leader to drive change and make a meaningful impact in the world of banking. As the Director of Unsecured Lending Strategy, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our product management team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies that drive experiences for our retail unsecured lending customers
  • Deliver simple, pre-approved offers for Credit Limit increases and manage life cycle pricing across all BMO channels for Unsecured Products
  • Manage day-to-day service experiences for customers and understand and manage Credit Risk as a critical aspect of Unsecured Lending
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives
Leadership & Management:

As a leader, you'll ensure alignment between values and behavior that fosters diversity and inclusion. You'll improve team performance, recognize and reward performance, coach employees, support their development, and manage poor performance.

Product Management & Development:

You'll look for opportunities across the lifecycle of pricing, limit, and other account management strategies. You'll manage resources and lead the execution of strategic initiatives to deliver on business and financial goals.

Governance and Risk Management:

You'll act as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies. You'll manage risk associated with the portfolio of products, including setting risk parameters and tolerance for credit losses. You'll work closely with partners to manage Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, Collections, and more.

Lead compliance activities specific to the portfolio, understanding the external regulatory and legal environment and mitigating risks to an acceptable level.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Product Management or Strategy Development experience
  • Experience working in highly data and model-driven environments
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership and crafting stories to articulate business issues succinctly
  • MBA, B.Eng, or equivalent work experience required
  • Credit Risk experience is an asset
  • Experience in large program delivery is an asset
