About the Registered Apprentice Program

Dow is seeking high school student candidates for our Winter 2025 Registered Apprentice Program (RAP). This 5-month paid program offers hands-on work experience within one of the following disciplines: Instrumentation, Millwright, or Electrician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair measuring and control instruments used in industrial processing.
  • Work with a wide variety of pneumatic and electronic instruments to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force, and chemical composition.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process and mechanical equipment used in industrial processing.
  • Work with a wide variety of electrical equipment, motors, starters, breakers, wiring at many different voltage levels to support the process plants.
Requirements
  • Must be eligible for the RAP program and have education requirements for the trade entrance as part of your schooling plan.
  • Reliable attendance is an expectation of every Dow employee; therefore, students must be able to secure their own reliable transportation.
  • A class 5 driver's license.
  • A minimum requirement for this Canadian-based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
Physical Demands
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in tight and closed-in spaces.
