Technical Quality Assurance Role

We are seeking a skilled QA Director to lead our technical quality assurance efforts in the Puzzle game development studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical quality of our games and services, as well as leading and developing the QA craft in the studio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical quality assurance of games and services
  • Leading and developing the QA craft in the studio
  • Coordinating external QA work on the studio level
  • Mentoring QA team members
  • Ensuring guidelines and agreed processes are followed
  • Improving processes, tools, and teamwork

Requirements:

  • Proven QA leadership experience in a supervisor role and in QA leadership role
  • QA experience leading to mastery of relevant disciplines
  • Proven commercial game QA background
  • Proficient with defect management tools, test management tools, crash/error logs, and reporting tools
  • Experience with version control, CI, and game development tools
  • Excellent communication with internal and external teams
  • Good understanding of mobile platforms and hardware, configuration of data structures, and formats
  • Good understanding of Data Analytics and making decisions by looking at Data
  • Good understanding of the F2P game business
  • Interest in people and team management
  • Ability to think strategically

  • Second meeting: Meeting the Hiring Manager to dive deeper into your skills and learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role
  • Skills deep dive: Meeting some of the QA team members for a Behavioural interview focused on your experience
  • Final round: Conversation with the Leadership team in the Studio to dive deeper into how you manage and drive processes and how you could add to the studio Leadership team
