Surgical Day Care Nurse

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Surgical Day Care Nurse to join our team. As a Surgical Day Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply the nursing process to provide care to surgical day patients
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
- Provide care to patients in the PACU and Surgical Day Care
- Administer medications and perform procedures as required
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification (preferred)
- Recent Surgical Day Care nursing experience
- Recent PACU nursing experience
- Critical Care Nursing course and/or PACU course
- Coronary Care 1 and 2 (preferred)
- Experience with administering IV drugs, central lines, and ECG machines
- Ability to interpret advanced arrhythmias
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Excellent decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Competitive hourly rate: $39.07 - $56.00
- Rotating shifts, including on-call PACU shifts
