Job Description

**About the Role**

The Arts & Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) is seeking dedicated and passionate students to fill various leadership positions within the History DSC. As a member of the DSC council, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, build relationships with peers and faculty, and contribute to the academic and social community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity (EDII) Representative
    • Advocate for equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigeneity within the student council.
    • Develop and implement initiatives to promote an inclusive environment for all students.
    • Collaborate with council members and university departments to address systemic issues.
  • First-Year Representative
    • Represent the voice of first-year students on the student council.
    • Organize events tailored to first-year students to integrate them into the academic and social community.
    • Facilitate communication between first-year students and the council.
  • Blog Team Members
    • Contribute to the department's blog by researching, writing, and editing articles on historical topics.
    • Collaborate with team members to develop engaging content.
    • Assist in managing the blog's online presence.
  • Vice President
    • Assist the DSC co-Presidents with tasks and projects.
    • Oversee the sanctioning of events.
    • Serve as a liaison between DSC council members and the executive team.
