The Arts & Science Undergraduate Society (ASUS) is seeking highly motivated and dedicated students to fill various positions within the Physics Department Student Council (DSC). As a member of the DSC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the academic, social, and professional experience of physics students at Queen's University.
Key Responsibilities:- Events Coordinator: Plan, organize, and execute departmental events such as socials, workshops, and guest lectures.
- Marketing Coordinator: Develop and implement promotional strategies for DSC events, merchandise, and departmental initiatives.
- Merchandise Coordinator: Oversee the creation and sale of departmental merchandise, such as clothing or accessories.
- Academic/Faculty Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between students and faculty members, communicating student academic concerns and feedback.
- Treasurer: Manage the DSC's financial resources, including budget planning and allocation for events and merchandise.
- EDIIF Representatives: Advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives within the department and DSC.
As a member of the DSC, you will have the opportunity to develop valuable skills, build relationships with students and faculty, and contribute to the growth and development of the Physics community at Queen's University.
