Financial Planning and Compliance Specialist

Job Summary:
Davis Martindale is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Compliance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for providing financial planning and compliance services to our clients.
About the Role:
This is a full-time permanent position, requiring 38.5 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience, as well as 2 years of experience in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial planning and compliance services to clients, including identifying goals and objectives, preparing financial information, and developing financial plans.
- Analyze clients' financial records and documents, and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
- Supervise staff and train them on financial planning and compliance best practices.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and audit findings, and make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement, and estate planning.
- Arrange for the sale of financial products and investments, and prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of experience in the field of accounting.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Caseware/Caseview, MS Office, MS Excel, and TaxPrep.
