Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Happy Faces Childcare & after school care centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers, as well as engaging children in activities and preparing snacks.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs for children
  • Provide care and supervision for children, including bathing, diapering, and feeding
  • Engage children in activities, such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent care to children
Work Setting:

This position is located in a child care centre, with the possibility of working in before and after school programs.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The successful candidate will work 35 to 40 hours per week.
