Job Title: ECE Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ECE Assistant to join our team at County Place Early Learning and Care Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young children.

Job Summary:

The ECE Assistant will assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes planning and implementing child-care programs, developing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and establishing positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment that promotes the well-being of children.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Assist with daily routines, including bath time, mealtime, and rest periods.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of programs and services.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
