Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking an Anesthesia Assistant to join our team at Richmond Hospital. As an Anesthesia Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the anesthesia care team by providing technical assistance with induction, maintenance, and recovery phases of anesthesia. You will also be responsible for ensuring effective and safe patient care, operating equipment, and maintaining your own clinical competence.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in current anesthesia assistant theory and practice, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. About the Role
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team to deliver high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support and clinical assistance with anesthesia procedures
- Assisting the anesthesiologist in developing and implementing the anesthesia care plan
- Monitoring physiological responses of patients to anesthesia during surgery
- Maintaining and advancing your own clinical competence

To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized Anesthesia Assistant Program
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS)
