Senior Data Engineer - Privacy Data

Job Summary:

Demonware, a leading provider of online and data services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data management strategy, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated data pipelines to ensure compliance with data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers to promote a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Collaborate with customers to facilitate compliant access to sensitive data.
  • Lead the management and optimization of data pipelines for compliance processing within our data ecosystem.
  • Work with our SRE team to develop and maintain a robust and compliant data infrastructure with minimal friction.
  • Design and implement APIs for integration with our internal systems and third-party services.
  • Ensure data quality and pursue continuous improvement and innovation in data governance practices.
Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in production with cloud computing platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Production experience with version control tools and a validated understanding of containerization, build, and deployment processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Comfortable with one or more computer programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Scala, Python, etc.
  • Expertise in both streaming and batch-based streaming technologies including Flink, Kafka, Spark.
  • Familiarity with privacy legislation and its implications on data collection, reporting, and compliance.
