Organic Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator

About the Role: The University of Toronto Department of Chemistry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sessional Lecturer to coordinate in-person laboratories for the CHM247H1 (Introductory Organic Chemistry II) course during the 2025 Winter session.
About You: To be successful, you will have a PhD in chemistry or a closely related field and experience coordinating laboratories in organic chemistry at the university level. Your excellent organizational skills, ability to effectively communicate with students and staff, and strong leadership abilities will enable you to successfully manage the lab sessions, supervise laboratory demonstrators, invigilate and mark tests and exams, and hold office hours.
The Position: This is a part-time position that may be split between two candidates. As a Sessional Lecturer, you will work independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the laboratory sessions. Your duties will include preparing labs, supervising laboratory demonstrators, managing and reporting student laboratory marks, and holding office hours.
What We Offer: We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated salary range of $9,457.90-$10,570.02 per term, inclusive of vacation pay, commensurate with experience.
