About This Role

The Senior Manager, Process Automation Strategy position is a key role within the Scotiabank organization, focused on driving business growth through process automation initiatives.

As a member of the Strategy & Operations team, you will contribute to the development and execution of short- and long-term automation strategies that align with the Bank's business objectives. Your expertise in process analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement will be crucial in identifying opportunities for automation and implementing solutions that drive efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Automation Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automation initiatives that improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead Project Management Teams: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of automation projects, ensuring timely completion and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Risk Management and Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, managing risks associated with automation projects and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as business administration, computer science, or engineering.
  • Familiarity with commercial and retail products, services, policies, and procedures, as well as banking regulations and related regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop compelling business cases, manage budgets, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences.
