About the Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for managing automation projects from start to finish, including design, development, testing, and implementation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

You will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers to ensure that approved components and hardware meet the highest requirements for safety, FSQA, operations, and asset reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage automation projects from concept to completion
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Review and approve OEM/integrator controls and electrical submissions
  • Benchmark new technology and identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in automation, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced PLC programming skills, including Rockwell platforms
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and integration, Fanuc preferred
  • Experience with SCADA/MES platforms
  • Knowledge of CSA/NFPA machine guarding standards
