Job Title: Project Engineer-Civil

Teck Resources Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer-Civil to join our Site Engineering Department at Highland Valley Copper. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the design, procurement, and construction of sustaining engineering projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure that all structural, mechanical, and electrical elements meet industry standards, relevant codes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, scope, and deliver projects for site betterment, sustainment, and risk mitigation.
  • Supervise a unionized workforce and on-site contractors during the construction phase of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
  • 3-5 years of Project Management experience; operational experience with mining/heavy industrial work would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D would be considered an asset.
