We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Professional to join our team in Montreal, Canada.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in trade surveillance and general compliance, with a strong understanding of applicable regulations relating to Banking, Broker-Dealer, and Futures Commission Merchant activity.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with regional and global colleagues to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.

About the Job

The successful candidate will participate in the monitoring of security transactions for compliance with Exchange rules, escalating issues to relevant stakeholders as necessary.

  • Review of trade surveillance alerts and investigation into potential issues
  • Participation in the development and implementation of new surveillance scenarios and minimum standards
  • Quality assurance and reasonability testing of surveillance controls

The selected candidate will also contribute to the preparation of management metrics and reports, as well as participate in regional and global compliance initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
