About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Import Specialist to join our team at Canada Produce. As an Import Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth importation of produce into Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient importation of produce.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with importation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to importation, including customs clearance and food safety standards.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management, international trade, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in importation, logistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
