Job Title: Farm Worker

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Farm Worker to join our team at Protolight Farms Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to crop handling, harvesting, and maintenance of our farm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and prepare crops for harvesting
  • Grade and package fruits and vegetables according to size, shape, and quality
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Assist with hand harvesting of vegetables and fruits
  • Level and prepare soil for planting
  • Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
  • Remove suckers and water sprouts from plants
  • Tie and secure plants
  • Clean and maintain work areas
  • Fertilize and spray crops as needed
  • Report any signs of insect or disease damage
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability and punctuality
Working Conditions:
  • Work will be performed outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights and in wet/damp environments
  • Exposure to odors, heat, and non-smoking areas
Transportation:
  • Own transportation is required
  • Public transportation is not available

Experience:
  • Will train
  • Temporary position
  • 40-60 hours per week
