We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Farm Worker, Fruit Specialist to join our team at Protolight Farms Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to fruit harvesting and farming.
Key Responsibilities- Crop Management: Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, ensuring optimal growth and yield.
- Fruit Harvesting: Clean the crops, grade vegetables and fruits, and harvest crops in a timely and efficient manner.
- Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain greenhouses, ensuring a healthy and productive environment for crops.
- Task Management: Perform a range of tasks, including fertilizing and spraying crops, removing suckers and water sprouts, and tying and securing plants.
- Work Area Maintenance: Clean and maintain work areas, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Reporting: Report signs of insect or disease damage, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Will train.
- Work Environment: At heights, wet/damp, odours, hot, and non-smoking.
- Work Setting: Rural area.
- Transportation: Own transportation required.
- Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics.
